Redemption Starts With You

Each of us fails as parents. We fail our spouses. Sometimes small. Sometimes big. Some of us more frequently.

But there is good news. Ours is the God of new beginnings. Ours is the God of new creation. The God of redemption.

Our approach to growing Godly culture in our home is centered on that biblical theme of redemption.

In our home we simplify this word, redemption, for daily use. We speak about “making things good again.” Or “making things new again.” Our relationships, our habits, our home… everything. Each day is a new start. A fresh attempt.

As the leader of your tribe, redemption of your home and your people starts with the redemption of you.

Jesus wants to renew you daily – to make you “new again” each morning.

He knows unless you let Him make you a new creation each day, you will not be able to offer meaningful redemption to the world around you.

Write the verses below somewhere you will read them each morning. Meditate on them. These are foundational for you and your leadership of your tribe:

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation;
old things have passed away,
and look, new things have come.
– 2 Corinthians 5:17

Because of the LORD’s faithful love we do not perish,
for His mercies never end.
They are new every morning;
great is Your faithfulness!
I say: The LORD is my portion,
therefore I will put my hope in Him.
– Lamentations 3:22-24
